  • Dec 2020: Our paper entitled "The 2018 reawakening and eruption dynamics of Steamboat Geyser, the world’s tallest active geyser" is accepted for publication in PNAS. In this paper which was started during CIDER 2019 we explore what initiated the recent eruption of Steamboat geyser, Yellowstone, what controls the interval between its eruptions, and what makes it the tallest active geyser in the world.

  • Dec 2020: I presented our abstract entitled "Bubble nucleation during explosive eruptions starts in the magma chamber" in AGU 2020.

  • Dec 2020: Our paper entitled "Reconciling bubble nucleation in explosive eruptions with geospeedometers" is accepted for publication in Nature Communications. In this paper we estimate magma decompression rate in Plinian eruptions using bubble number density in pyroclasts.

  • Sep 2020: I presented my research at the International Volcanology Seminar.

  • Apr 2020: I was awarded the Sam Worden Endowed Memorial Fund Award in Geophysics by the department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences. The award is based on student's creative, innovative contributions to the enhancement of geophysics.

  • Apr 2020: I successfully defended my Ph.D. thesis. Special thanks to my Ph.D. advisor, Professor Gonnermann, my collaborators and my colleagues in the department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences at Rice University.
